FarmVille LE English Countryside Animals: King Horse, Robin Duck, Pastel Green Ewe & More

A whopping five new animals were introduced to FarmVille this evening, with four of these being available to purchase in the store. Technically, all four of these animals are available to purchase for both your English Countryside farmbut only two can be purchased for the Home Farm. Why? Simple: two of these animals are Ewes, which are currently locked to the Sheep-Breeding centric English Countryside.

To be specific, the King Horse and the Robin Duck are available for both of your farms, at a price of 26 Farm Cash for the horse and 16 Farm Cash for the Duck. If you'd rather expand your rainbow of multi-colored sheep, you can purchase the Pastel Green Ewe or the Pastel Purple Ewe for 20 Farm Cash each instead. Interestingly, even if you choose to purchase the sheep, which cost more than the Robin Duck, you'll only receive a laughable 5 experience points for your purchase. Perhaps this is because Zynga knows that users have more incentive to purchase these Ewes either way, but it's still something to keep in mind if you're looking to quickly level up.


Remember, you can also breed your King Horse in your Horse Stable to receive a King Horse Foal to share with your friends (this little fella is so cute, it makes us wish all the more than Horse breeders could keep their foals, but alas...). These animals (foal excluded) will be available in the game's store for the next two weeks.

FarmVille Mystery Game (04/17/11): Exclusive animals for 20 Farm Cash each

This week's FarmVille Mystery Game has been updated with a series of six new (and need I say exclusive?) animals that are available to win at random. There isn't really a true theme here, other than the fact that there are only animals to win this week, and you'll likely recognize the lot of them from one of our recent FarmVille Sneak Peeks.

This week's Mystery Game costs 20 Farm Cash to play, per dart, but remember, if you redeem a Zynga Game Card, you'll receive darts for free, allowing you to save your new Farm Cash. Here are the prizes you can win:

Black Shire Horse
Burrowing Owl
California Condor
Mountain Goata
Sonoran Pronghorn Deer
Wolverine

Remember, if you're lucky enough to receive the Black Shire Horse, your friends will also be winners (at least some of them), as you'll have a chance to breed the Black Shire Horse in your Horse Stable to receive a Black Shire Foal. You'll need to play the game fast, though, as of course this game will only be available for the next week, at which point the selection of prizes will change.

FarmVille Animal Sanctuary & Lighthouse Cove Animals: Canada Lynx, Morgan Stallion and more

As was the case with trees this evening, tonight's FarmVille update has seen the launch of not only new Animal Sanctuary items, but also animals in the Lighthouse Cove limited edition theme. These Lighthouse Cove items can be purchased for other farms, not just your Lighthouse Cove farm, if you wish to carry the theme throughout your properties. This is also a great way for those who choose not to pay to get into Lighthouse Cove early to add to their animal collections while they wait.

Canada Lynx - 12 Farm Cash
Standardbred Horse - 26 Farm Cash
Bufflehead Duck - 18 Farm Cash
Morgan Stallion - 35 Farm Cash

With these animals, we see two horses for collectors that cost the expected high numbers, and reward appropriate XP in exchange: 2,600 for the Standardbred and 3,500 for the Morgan Stallion. The Canada Lynx and Standardbred Horse will only be in the game's store for the next 11 days, while the other two animals will be around for a full two weeks, to give you an idea of when you really need to shop.

Animal Sanctuary

Clouded Leopard - 15 Farm Cash

Unfortunately, that's the only animal released in the theme this evening, but at least it isn't so expensive that it's guaranteed to break the bank. For purchasing this little fella, you'll receive 1,500 experience points, and will be able to harvest him every two days. He'll be available in the game's store for the next two weeks.

Regardless of which animal you choose, remember that (again), these Lighthouse Cove animals can be placed in other farms, so if you'd like to place them inside your Horse Stables and the like (where applicable), go right ahead and do that. Just make sure to not let these guys expire from the store before you have a chance to shop.
